New Executive Director of dining services

David Riddle has been named executive director for the Department of Dining Services at Texas A&M University, effective April 13.

Riddle, who graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 with an MBA, comes to Dining Services from the Office of Technology Commercialization at The Texas A&M University System, where he served as director of Licensing and Intellectual Property Management.

“I look forward to working with the Dining Services team to improve the quality and selection of food on campus and to enhance the overall customer experience for all Texas A&M students, faculty, staff and visitors,” Riddle says.

Lallah Howard, Associate Vice President for Business Affairs who oversees Dining Services, said Riddle has extensive experience in the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives.

“David’s strong leadership skills and proven ability to work well with others across the campus community made him the best candidate to provide the guidance Dining Services needs to be successful,” Howard notes.

“I’m dedicated to 'feeding the Aggie Spirit' and to making a positive contribution to the campus culture with great food service," Riddle adds.

The Department of Dining Services is a non-profit, auxiliary service managed by Texas A&M University, which operates more than 30 dining venues campus-wide, and employs over 850 staff and student workers. Dining Services also oversees the University Club restaurant and event facility (located in Rudder Tower) as well as Catering Services.
